Saggubiyyam Pakoda



Ingredients:

  • Maida - 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  • Onion -1 medium
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Saggubiyyam - 2tbsp
  • Jeera - 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder
  • curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Water if required
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  • Soak saggubiyyam in curd for about 2 hours
  • Mix maida, rice flour, red chilli powder, jeera, salt
  • Add chopped onions, soaked saggubiyyam, curry leaves and make a semi solid batter by adding water if required
  • Heat the oil and once oil is hot drop small amounts of the mixed batter into the oil for deep frying.
  • Once the pakodas turn dark yellow or orange colour strain them from oil onto a plate with tissue paper to drain all the excess oil
  • Serve hot
