Ingredients:
- Dry coconut powder - 1 cup
- Channa dal - 1/2 cup
- Urad dal - 1/2 cup
- Peanuts - 1/4 cup
- Dhania - 2 tbsp
- Jeera - 2 tsp
- Garlic - 8-10
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - few
- Red chillis - 10
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel and roast the dals, peanuts, dhania, jeera and dry red chillis in a pan on low heat till light brown. All the ingredeints should be fried separately. Remove and cool.
- In the same vessel add coconut powder and roast on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Dont add any more oil to roast the coconut powder
- Grind these fried ingredients along with garlic, cloves, turmeric and salt in a blender to make powder
- Store in an air tight container
- Serve with dosa, idli and white rice with ghee
