Ingredients:
- Maida -3 cups
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Jeera - 2 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Warm water
Method:
- Mix maida, chilli powder, salt, jeera and ghee in a large bowl
- Add warm water little by little to the above mixture to make a soft dough. Cover the dough and leave it for 20-30 minutes
- Take piece of above dough and roll into thick large chappati
- Cut this chappati using a knife by drawing a number of parallel and diagonal lines to cut into diamond shaped peices (You may choose any desired shape)
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the diamonds into golden brown color
- Spread these hot biscuits in a paper towel to remove excess oil
- Allow them to cool and store it in an air-tight container
