Mixture



Ingredients:

  • Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  • Gram flour - 1/2 cup
  • Corn poha - 1cup
  • Thick poha - 3/4 cup
  • Peanuts - 1/4 cup
  • Jeera - 1tsp
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  • Preparation of Murukku
    • Mix rice flour, gram flour, jeera, red chilli powder, ghee and salt to make a dough by adding enough water
    • Batter should be like soft chapathi dough
    • Take little of the dough and fill into the murukku mould
    • Heat oil and press the muruku into hot oil and deep fry both sides until crisp
    • Remove as soon as it is crisp and drain the excess oil on a paper towel
  • Deep fry Thick poha, Corn poha, peanuts seperately in oil, drain and keep it aside.
  • Fry curry leaves
  • Crush corn poha and curry leaves little bit
  • Mix muruku, thick poha, corn poha, peanuts and curry leaves
  • Add chilli powder and salt when mixture is warm
  • Store in an air tight container and you can use it for a month
