Ravva Kesari


Ingredients:

  • Bombay Ravaa (Suji) - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Elachi powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cashews - 30
  • Raisins - 30
  • Kesari colour - pinch


Method:

  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and add cashews, raisins and fry seperately till they are brown and keep aside
  • In the same pan add ravva and fry till the aroma comes out and keep aside
  • In a heavy non stick pan, boil water and milk. Add food colour to it.
  • Add ravva and keep stirring continuously. There should not be any lumps. Stir well till it is cooked thoroughly
  • Add sugar and elachi powder now and keep stirring until the kesari leaves the sides of the pan
  • Grease a plate with ghee and spread kesari on the plate. Sprinkle fried cashew and raisins evenly. Let kesari cool down to cut into pieces.
