Ingredients:
- Dalia - 1 cup (Veyinchina senagapappu)
- Coriander leaves - 2-3 stems
- Tamarind paste - 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Shredded coconut - ½ Cup
- Green chilies - 6 small
For Seasoning:
- Urad dal - 1 ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
- Dry red chilli - 2
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Hing - pinch
- Curry leaves - 5-6
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Grind dhalia, shredded coconut, coriander leaves, tamarind, ginger garlic paste, green chilies with out adding water first
- Now add enough water and grind it to smooth paste
- Transfer the chutney to a bowl
- Heat a tbsp of oil, add urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chillies, tumeric, curry leaves, hing and fry for few seconds
- Pour the seasoning on the top of the chutney and mix well
- Serve with idli, dosa and upma
