Ragi Idli



Ingredients:
  • Ragi flour - 1 cup
  • Urad dal - 1 cup
  • Rice rava - 2 cups
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:

  • Wash and soak urad dal for 4 hours
  • Grind urad dal into a fine paste and then add rice rava
  • Grind the mix for 2 minutes and add ragi flour
  • Mix well or grind together for a minute and add baking soda
  • Add salt to taste
  • The consistency of the batter should be same as that you prepare for normal idli
  • Leave the batter to ferment overnight in a warm place. After fermentation, the batter will raise
  • Grease idli plates with ghee and pour the batter. Place the idli stand in a pressure cooker without weight and steam for about 15 minutes
  • Serve hot with chutney and sambar
