
Ingredients:
- Ragi flour - 1 cup
- Urad dal - 1 cup
- Rice rava - 2 cups
- Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak urad dal for 4 hours
- Grind urad dal into a fine paste and then add rice rava
- Grind the mix for 2 minutes and add ragi flour
- Mix well or grind together for a minute and add baking soda
- Add salt to taste
- The consistency of the batter should be same as that you prepare for normal idli
- Leave the batter to ferment overnight in a warm place. After fermentation, the batter will raise
- Grease idli plates with ghee and pour the batter. Place the idli stand in a pressure cooker without weight and steam for about 15 minutes
- Serve hot with chutney and sambar
